Saitama can’t recall his time-traveling incident in One-Punch Man, but other characters remember it

In the world of One-Punch Man, the recent time-traveling feat performed by the protagonist Saitama has left many of the characters in a state of confusion and forgetfulness. The popular manga series, known for its unique take on the superhero genre and its offbeat, over-the-top storytelling, took fans by surprise with the latest developments in the storyline. Saitama, who is renowned for his incredible strength and ability to defeat any opponent with a single punch, managed to save everyone with a new, overpowered technique that seemed to have a massive drawback. As a result, fans are left with a number of new questions, including which characters are actually aware of Saitama’s time-traveling feat.

Following his defeat of Garo, the Hero Hunter asked Saitama to copy his abilities and destroy their grim future. Saitama agreed, and with his newfound power, he created the Zero Punch technique that allowed him to travel through time and punch past Garo, thus erasing the future in which most of the characters had died. Although this new skill was beyond comparison, it came at a cost, and after being thrown back into his past self, Saitama appeared to have retained his memories, but not completely.

Despite being able to identify Genos’ core, he failed to remember the reason he was holding it, leaving Genos to pick up the core and connect it to himself, causing the memories to flood back to him. Genos learned of the titanic event in its entirety and attempted to summarize his hypothesis to his master, only to have Saitama lose interest and immediately change the subject. The two then joined the other characters to decide the fate of the fallen Hero Hunter before watching Metal Knight’s army of machines emerge from the ground to take over the cleanup.

While Genos has a full account of the erased future, it’s likely that he will report to Dr. Kuseno and let the doctor examine his future self’s core. As such, Dr. Kuseno may learn the full truth and find a way to project the core’s memory, which could be watched by Saitama and the entire gang. Should Dr. Kuseno invent such a contraption, it’s possible that Saitama’s strength will also be shown to all the characters of One-Punch Man.

In addition to Genos, it’s possible that Blast and company, who specialize in dealing with Gods and their divine powers, may have retained their memories of the erased future, or at least fragments of them. Moreover, the mysterious Gods themselves may also be aware of everything that happened, given that it was their divine powers that made time-traveling possible. As the story continues to unfold, fans can expect more surprises and plot twists from One-Punch Man.
