The upcoming Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King anime movie has unveiled a character trailer featuring Asta, building anticipation for its premiere on June 16. Studio Pierrot, known for its animation prowess, is in charge of the production, with director Ayataka Tanemura at the helm once again. The film will be available for streaming on Netflix. Initially slated for a March 31 release in theaters and on Netflix worldwide, the movie faced delays due to COVID-19-related production challenges. Alongside director Ayataka Tanemura, the talented main staff of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King includes character designer Itsuko Takeda, music composer Minako Seki, and scriptwriter Johnny Onda. Notably, the original story will be supervised by Yuki Tabata, the author of Black Clover.

The movie promises to showcase various past Wizard Kings, portrayed by notable voice actors such as Toshihiko Seki as Conrad, Fumiya Takahashi as Jester Galandros, Houchu Ohtsuka as Edward, Marie Iitoyo as Milly Maxwell, and Miyuki Sawashiro as Princia.

Black Clover originated as a manga by Yuki Tabata and made its debut in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2015. With 33 volumes currently available, it captivated fans worldwide. The anime adaptation, produced by Studio Pierrot, aired from 2017 to 2021, comprising a total of 170 episodes. The anime can be streamed on Crunchyroll.

Furthermore, fans can look forward to the upcoming mobile game titled Black Clover: The Opening of Fate, which is currently in development. Originally planned for a 2022 release, the game’s launch has been postponed to 2023, but anticipation remains high for this exciting gaming experience.
