Shoto from My Hero Academia discovers a groundbreaking application for his powers

Shoto and Iida make a grand entrance at the scene of Dabi’s imminent self-destruction in My Hero Academia, showcasing their style and flair. The fate of the Todoroki family hangs in the balance, and Shoto is determined to rescue them. However, it’s not just their arrival that has captured the attention of fans, but also the extraordinary “vehicle” they arrived in.

In recent chapters, the Todoroki family, including their mother Rei and siblings Fuyumi and Natsuo, confront Dabi in a desperate attempt to reason with him. Dabi, consumed by darkness, is on the brink of unleashing a devastating explosion that could claim the lives of countless people. With Iida’s assistance, Shoto races to the scene, but their arrival is accompanied by a surprising addition—an ice fighter jet.

Chapter 389 reveals Shoto and Iida moving swiftly, surrounded by a structure reminiscent of an aircraft. The subsequent panel clarifies that it is not a mere visual metaphor; it is an actual ice creation sculpted by Shoto, which is cracking under the strain. The origin of this icy marvel is not shown, adding to the surprise element in the chapter’s final panel.

Creating such a large and intricate ice sculpture is unprecedented for Shoto, who has never demonstrated such mastery over his powers. Presumably crafted hastily, the intention behind this icy vehicle was to enhance their aerodynamics during their high-speed travel. However, one might question whether the aerodynamic advantage outweighs the weight of the ice. Nevertheless, the ice jet served its purpose, propelling them to their destination with remarkable speed, just in the nick of time.

While Shoto has yet to prevent Dabi’s explosion in My Hero Academia, the final panel suggests that he is preparing to unleash his Phosphor super move, possibly bringing an end to Dabi’s rampage once and for all.

Although Shoto’s ice jet may not have been the most practical idea, it appears to have fulfilled its purpose, albeit barely. Now, with the fate of the beloved Todoroki family hanging in the balance, it is up to Shoto to step up and save the day.
