New Haikyu!! stage play directed by Kenta Suga premieres August 2023

During the Jump Festa ’23 event, exciting news emerged for fans of Haikyu!! as the highly anticipated new stage play adaptation based on Haruichi Furudate’s manga was unveiled. One of the major revelations was the selection of 15-year-old actor Kenshirō Katō to portray the beloved character Shōyō Hinata. This announcement ignited a wave of anticipation among attendees and Haikyu!! enthusiasts alike. The stage play, titled Gekidan ‘Haikyu!!, is scheduled to captivate audiences in Tokyo throughout the month of August in 2023.

Adding to the excitement, it was revealed that Kenta Suga, known for his portrayal of Shōyō Hinata in the seven Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!! stage plays, will be directing the new production.
