Buggy’s Goal in One Piece

One Piece is a beloved manga series that has captured the hearts of millions of fans around the world. With a story that spans over a thousand chapters, the series is an action-packed adventure that follows the journey of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they search for the ultimate treasure, the One Piece.

In recent chapters, the series has taken a turn as the focus shifts from the various pirate crews in the world to the handful of individuals who are considered to be the frontrunners in the race to claim the One Piece. The two Worst Generation captains, Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law, were once considered the most likely candidates to claim the treasure, but they were quickly taken out of the running by their opponents, leaving only the Emperors to join Luffy in the race.

Out of the four Emperors, Buggy seemed content with his status as an Emperor and was using it to spread his influence. However, his ambitions came to light after he overheard a conversation between Crocodile and Mihawk about wealth and power. Their words stirred something inside Buggy, and he couldn’t help but talk about his dream to become the Pirate King. As a result, Buggy’s words reached the ears of his followers, and they were more than willing to follow their chairman on his quest for the One Piece.

Buggy’s character has undergone quite the transformation throughout the series. Initially introduced as a villain with great malice, he was an evil pirate who would punish even the tiniest offense. However, as the story progressed, it became increasingly evident that Buggy was more of a comic relief character, involved in several arcs where he won the hearts of the audience with his antics. His character peaked in the Impel Down arc, where he tricked more dangerous prisoners into believing that he was their savior. Despite his antics, Buggy ended up playing an important role in the arc, carrying Luffy and Jimbei to a secure location and delivering the straw hat to Law at Shanks’ behest.

Following the events of the Summit War, Buggy was named one of the Shichibukai, a group of seven powerful pirates who serve as privateers for the World Government in exchange for immunity from their own crimes. However, the World Government dissolved the Shichibukai after the Reverie, leaving Buggy once again on the radar of the Marines. But as fate would have it, he was named among the Emperors, giving him even more power and influence.

With Buggy’s emotional speech to his underlings, it is very likely that the Cross Guild will be forced to take some kind of step. If they do join the race, the organization will meet its end sooner rather than later, as they will have to fight some of the strongest pirate crews in the world. This gives Oda the perfect opportunity to pit them against the Straw Hat Pirates, setting up potential fights between Mihawk and Zoro, and Crocodile and Luffy. As for Buggy, he will be left without a crew and a shattered dream if he fails in his quest for the One Piece.
