FLOW, a renowned five-piece Japanese rock band, has long been associated with the popular Naruto franchise, contributing numerous memorable songs over the years. Their notable contributions include hits such as “GO!!!” (Naruto 4th opening theme), “Re:member” (Naruto 8th opening theme), “Sign” (Naruto Shippuden 6th opening theme), “Hikari Oikakete” (Live Spectacle Naruto image song), “Niji no Sora” (Naruto Shippuden 34th ending theme), “GOLD” (BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS 10th opening theme), and many others.
Building on their strong association with Naruto, FLOW has recently embarked on an exciting new project titled “FLOW×NARUTO THEME SONG COVER.” The aim of this project is to pay tribute to the iconic Naruto theme songs by covering them in their own unique style. To kick off this endeavor, FLOW has released short performance videos of their covers on their official YouTube channel.
The first two songs to receive the FLOW treatment are “Haruka Kanata” by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, which served as the Naruto anime’s second opening theme, and “Viva★Rock” by ORANGE RANGE, which was featured as the third ending theme. These videos showcase FLOW’s remarkable talent and energy as they deliver their interpretations of these beloved Naruto theme songs.
What makes these performance videos even more special is the location in which they were filmed. FLOW had the opportunity to showcase their covers at the “NARUTO & BORUTO SHINOBI-ZATO” attraction area within the Nijigen no Mori theme park. Situated in the picturesque Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park, this attraction area immerses visitors in the world of Naruto and Boruto, complete with iconic landmarks and experiences.
During the filming of the “FLOW×NARUTO THEME SONG COVER” videos, the band had the privilege of performing in front of the impressive Hokage Rock, a symbolic landmark within the Naruto universe. The grandeur and significance of this location added an extra layer of authenticity and excitement to FLOW’s performances, making it a memorable experience for both the band and their fans.
