Haikyuu: TOUCH THE DREAM mobile game pre-registrations start November 2022

After a year of anticipation, the official name for the Haikyuu mobile game has been revealed as Haikyuu: TOUCH THE DREAM. Although there is no official website yet, you can stay updated on game-related news by following the official Twitter account.

Pre-registrations for Haikyuu: Touch the Dream will begin on November 8, 2022, potentially offering glimpses of exciting teasers for the in-development game. Currently, there is a short 15-second clip available on the official Twitter, but it provides minimal information. What we know so far about the game, based on the past year, can be summarized as follows:

  • The game will feature a story mode that allows players to relive the anime.
  • It will offer a “full-fledged volleyball game with deformed characters.”

For those unfamiliar with the series, here’s a brief summary: Inspired by the exceptional skills of a volleyball ace known as the “Little Giant,” Shouyou Hinata, a small-statured student, revives his middle school’s volleyball club. The newly-formed team manages to reach a tournament, but their first match becomes their last when they are soundly defeated by Tobio Kageyama, dubbed the “King of the Court.” Determined to surpass Kageyama, Hinata joins Karasuno High School’s volleyball team after graduating from middle school, only to discover that his former rival is now his teammate.

Despite Hinata’s challenges due to his short height, which hinders his role on the team, and Kageyama’s own problems, the two must learn to work together if they want to succeed. Based on the popular shounen manga by Haruichi Furudate, Haikyuu!! is an exhilarating and emotional sports comedy that follows the journey of these two determined athletes as they strive to reconcile their intense rivalry and lead their high school volleyball team to become the best in Japan.
