Yusuke Murata took to Twitter on May 17, 2023, to announce a delay in the release of the latest chapter of the One Punch Man manga. The announcement came a day before the release of the magazine issue, Tonari No Young Jump, on May 18, 2023. Murata apologized for the delayed announcement and expressed his regret. He explained that he had not been feeling well for the past month but has since made significant recovery and will resume working on the manga.
As a result of the delay, the release of One Punch Man chapter 183 has been rescheduled for June 1, 2023. One Punch Man is a popular Japanese superhero manga series created by One. The original webcomic version was written by One in early 2009. In June 2012, a digital manga remake illustrated by Yusuke Murata began publication on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website.
The manga has been well-received, with 27 volumes released as of November 2022. It has also gained international popularity, with an English language release licensed by Viz Media and serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine. One Punch Man has also been adapted into an anime series, with the first season produced by Madhouse and aired in Japan from October to December 2015. A second season, produced by J.C.Staff, was broadcast from April to July 2019, and a third season has been announced.
The original webcomic manga had already gained significant popularity, surpassing 7.9 million hits by June 2012. The manga remake has been even more successful, selling over 30 million copies worldwide by April 2020 and establishing itself as one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
