Saitama from One-Punch Man confesses he’s not a hero

The latest chapter of One-Punch Man has caused quite a stir among fans, as it marks a significant turning point in the story. The protagonist, Saitama, has finally come to terms with the fact that he is not truly a hero, despite being the most powerful member of the Hero Association. In this chapter, Saitama faces off against his most challenging opponent yet, Garou, a martial artist who despises heroes and seeks to become the most feared villain in the world.

Garou’s power has been boosted by God, a mysterious evil creature who grants powers to individuals, and is now strong enough to blast Saitama away. In the aftermath of their battle, Saitama returns to find that Garou has killed his best friend and disciple, Genos, in order to draw out Saitama’s true strength. This event leads Saitama to reflect on his approach to being a hero, and he realizes that he lacks one of the most important qualities of a hero: a hero’s intuition.

Saitama’s approach to being a hero has always been unconventional. He claims to be a “hero for hobby,” doing what he does simply because he is bored and has nothing better to do. Despite this, he has saved the Earth and his fellow heroes numerous times, often appearing on the scene only when all other hope seems lost. It is this formula that has made the manga so popular, as readers are always left wondering if Saitama will show up in time to save the day.

However, in this chapter, the dark side of this formula is exposed. Because Saitama always shows up late, the other heroes have to suffer and risk their lives. What would happen if he were to arrive too late to save everyone? Saitama’s memory of a conversation with Genos, in which he admits that he is usually too late, perfectly summarizes his approach to being a hero. He is careless and indifferent, causing those around him to suffer.

It is interesting to note that in the One-Punch Man webcomic, Saitama psychologically crushes Garou when he declares himself a “hero for hobby,” implying that his motivation is stronger than Garou’s. However, in the manga, it is this attitude that is brutally punished by Garou. This event marks a significant turning point in the story, as Saitama is forced to get serious and change his approach to being a hero. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the next chapter to see how Saitama will overcome this challenge and what this means for the future of the series.
