Early movie premiere of Black Clover announced for fans

Fans of the popular anime series, Black Clover, have a lot to look forward to this summer as the franchise gears up for its first-ever feature film release. Titled Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, the movie was originally scheduled to make its debut earlier this spring but had to be delayed due to complications caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

However, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the highly anticipated film. Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King is set to premiere in Japan on May 28th, where 200 lucky fans will get the opportunity to attend a special early screening of the movie. The fans were selected through a lottery and will also have the chance to participate in a stage event with some members of the cast following the screening. Unfortunately, fans outside of Japan won’t be able to attend this early premiere, but they can look forward to the movie’s streaming launch, which will follow soon after.

Directed by Ayataka Tanemura and with original series creator Yuki Tabata serving as the chief supervisor and providing new character designs, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King promises to be a thrilling addition to the franchise. The movie features an original story that has not been seen in the manga and reportedly runs for 1 hour and 50 minutes.

The plot of the movie is teased as follows: “As Asta keeps gaining merit on his way to becoming the Wizard King, the previous Wizard King Conrad, who had been feared as evil and sealed away, along with three previous Wizard Kings appear. Having been revived with the Imperial Sword, their goal is to destroy Clover Kingdom. The boy who dreams of becoming the Wizard King vs. Previous Wizard Kings!! A fierce battle involving all the magic knights has begun over the Wizard King.”

Fans who are eager to see the Black Clover movie won’t have to wait too much longer, as it will be available for streaming on Netflix around the world from June 19th. With its impressive cast and crew and exciting storyline, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King is sure to be a hit with fans of the series and newcomers alike.
