“Phineas and Ferb” will be back with two additional summers of fresh episodes

Phineas (Vincent Martella) and Ferb (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) are set to make a comeback as Disney Channel greenlights their revival. The beloved and highly-rated animated series, created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, follows the lighthearted musical adventures of stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb during their summer vacation. With their imaginative and grand ideas, the duo constantly finds ways to have fun with their friends, while their sister Candance (Ashley Tisdale) tries to expose their mischievous creations to their mom. The show also features Perry the Platypus (Dee Bradley Baker) as a secret agent and his nemesis, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire).

Known for its catchy music, talented voice acting, and wholesome entertainment, Phineas and Ferb appeals to both kids and adults. Now, the show is making a comeback, giving audiences another chance to enjoy its charm and potentially gain new fans.

Phineas and Ferb originally premiered on August 17, 2007, and had four seasons between 2009 and 2015. Despite the series ending, it continued with a TV special, two TV movies, and a crossover with Milo Murphy’s Law. The latest appearance was in the movie “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe” on August 28, 2020, marking a total of 129 episodes, two TV movies, one TV special, and one crossover.

Disney announced the revival of Phineas and Ferb on January 13, with Dan Povenmire signing a deal to create two more seasons comprising 40 additional episodes. While no specific release date has been announced, the show’s return is eagerly anticipated. Jeff “Swampy” Marsh’s involvement as executive producer and the voice cast’s participation, including Povenmire as Doofenshmirtz, are still being negotiated.

Fans of Phineas and Ferb can look forward to the series making a comeback, bringing back the iconic characters and their entertaining adventures, although the exact timing of its return is yet to be confirmed.
